（中央社記者唐佩君台北24日電）英國今天決定選擇與歐盟成員國分手，中華民國外交部表示台英仍將延續交流，並持續在保障民主、自由、人權等共同理念合作。
英國歷史性脫歐公投初步結果顯示，脫歐派勝出，外交部回應與相關駐歐館處持續密切關注發展。
外交部指出，英國公投決定脫離歐盟，原則不再受歐盟共同外交及安全政策（Common Foreign andSecurity Policy, CFSP）拘束，可採取更為獨立外交立場。但英國及歐盟向來支持民主、法治，並尊重人權及自由，因此，台英仍延續雙方以往各項合作及交流，並續在保障民主、自由、人權等共同理念上持續合作。
在台英經貿事務方面，外交部說明，台英雙邊貿易及投資關係緊密且持續成長。英方自1998年起將台灣列為全球14個加強出口拓銷重點市場之一，2015年英國為台灣在歐洲第3大貿易夥伴，台灣則為英國在亞太地區第8大貿易夥伴，雙邊貿易總額達55.82億美元。雙方將續基於互利互惠基礎，推動雙邊經貿投資及雙邊投資協定或經濟合作協議。1050624
